Double Springs Study Club members enjoy AFWC State Convention

DOUBLE SPRINGS - Eight members of the Double Springs Study Club recently enjoyed attending the Alabama Federal of Women’s Clubs’ state convention at the Guntersville State Lodge.
Miss Alabama 2018, Callie Walker, spoke to the group.
The Double Springs Study Club received first place in home life and art community service and certifications and recognition in other areas of participation.
First place certificates in the art entries were received by Joyce Martin, Betsy Andrews, Linda League, Amy Dodd and Crystal Till.
Glennis Posey received first place certificates on writing and cover art.
The Double Springs Study Club’s scrapbook won first place at the state convention.  The cover had been painted in watercolor by club member Loretta Bartlett.
The Double Springs Study Club performs many educational and volunteer services to Double Springs, including helping with the schools and other special causes.
