HHS girls finish 12th, boys come in 15th at Chickasaw Trails

DANVILLE - Week two of Haleyville High School cross country took the Lions to the Chickasaw Trails Invitational in Danville.
The boys finished 15th out of 37 teams and the girls finished 12th out of 25 teams.
Lewis Barber and Kaytee Beth Boyles were the top finishers for the Lions. The runners faced 92ºF temperature, with 90 percent  humidity. It was HOT!
For those who do not know, there are many other activities going on in fields across the USA on fall Saturdays other than football. In Danville alone, there were 2,776 finishers at this one cross country meet.
The Lions will participate in a meet in Hartselle Thursday, Sept. 19.
