HALEYVILLE - Haleyville High School brought cheer and pep to the clients of the ARC center, serving clients with special needs in the Winston and Marion County area, by having the center's first high school pep rally Thursday, Oct. 3 in celebration of the school's homecoming festivities.

The concept of the pep rally at the ARC was from Board of Education President Donna Jones with Superintendent Dr. Holly Sutherland assisting in preparations.

The high school football players and cheerleaders brought a special team spirit to the clients who assisted in the cheers, school's fight song and and waved their spirit shakers. After the pep rally, football players and cheerleaders visited one-on-one with the clients and refreshments were served.

Jones said she hoped this would become an event more common for the ARC.
