PHS 1A Area 14 volleyball champions

BEAR CREEK - The Phillips High School She Bears are once again 1A Area 14 volleyball champions.
The She Bears defeated Hackleburg and Belgreen Monday night, Oct. 21, in area action at home.
Belgreen put out Covenant Christian in the first match of the night, followed by PHS defeating Hackleburg.
The She Bears captured the area title in the championship match against Belgreen, losing the first set 21-25 and then going three straight 25-12-,25-20,25-18.
Stats reported for the She Bears in the Hackleburg match include:
Gracie Hallman, 12 assists, 2 digs, 2 kills, 3 aces;
Alli Temple, 3 assists, 5 digs, 9 kills, 2 aces;
Belgreen match:
Jill Gillum, 22 digs, 2 kills, 1 ace;
Ally McCollum, 2 digs, 7 kills, 5 blocks;
Mary Ashton Hyde, 9 digs, 7 kills, 1 ace;
Alli Temple, 11 assists, 8 digs, 17 kills, 2 blocks;
Gracie Hallman, 14 assists, 6 digs, 8 kills, 1 block;
