Double homicide near Addison Christmas Eve

Allen Hollis Privett

ADDISON - The Christmas holiday season was destroyed for an Addison family when a 30-year-old man confessed to law enforcement that he shot and killed both his mother and father during a dispute at the couple’s residence Christmas Eve Tuesday, Dec. 24.
Allen Hollis Privett, who was outside his parents’ doublewide manufactured home when Addison Police were the first responders on the scene,  was taken into custody without incident, noted Addison Police Chief Mitchell Woodard.

Found dead inside the home were Frank Hollis Privett, 71, and Rita Privett, 63, both having been shot by a 12-gauge pump shotgun that was found in the kitchen area, Woodard stated.
