Johnson not seeking re-election

WINSTON COUNTY - State Representative Ken Johnson announced Friday, Feb. 23, that he would not be seeking re-election in the upcoming June primary election.

Citing family responsibilities and business obligations, Johnson noted that serving citizens of House District 7 has been among the greatest honors of his life. Johnson, who has served since 2010, had an opponent in the June primary, Republican Proncey Robertson, who will now run unopposed in the primary, but will face Democrat Kenneth Brackins in the November general election.
