Garrett throws shutout against Deshler

HALEYVILLE - Kaleb Garrett didn't allow a single run as Haleyville Lions junior varsity defeated Deshler 6-0 on Saturday, Feb. 22, at HHS. Garrett allowed just one hit.
Haleyville pulled off the big victory without ever scoring many runs in an inning. The most they scored was two in the fourth.
The junior varsity got things started in the first inning when Brody Gravitt singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
Garrett was credited with the victory for Haleyville. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over five innings, striking out nine.
Mac Wilcoxson led Haleyville with two hits in two at bats. HJV stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Wilcoxson led the way with three.
