LAKESHORE - The owners of Lakeshore Inn & Marina provided the following letter to the Alabamian to let everyone know about the status of Lakeshore Restaurant in the wake of COVID-19:
To our valued customers,
As the weather turns warmer and with work, school and other activities cancelled, it is understandable that the lake is the best option for escape.
In these uncertain times, though, when COVID-19 increasingly impacts our day-to-day lives, we here at Lakeshore Inn and Marina want to reach out to our loyal customers with measures to help ensure the safety of our beloved lake community and customers. The health and well-being of our customers, employees and their families is, of course, our greatest concern. So, unfortunately, due to the evolving threat of this pandemic, recommendations by the mayor's office and health department officials, we are making some changes to our operations.
As of 5 p.m. Thursday, March 19, Lakeshore Inn will be transitioning to "take-out only" until further notice. The business hours will be adjusted to 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday for the restaurant operation. The hotel and marina will remain open with "business as usual" until further notice.
Lakeshore Inn and Marina is committed to serving our customers with the best service possible, but must adjust operations to coincide with the ongoing situation.
We are requesting that customers practice the recommended social distancing protocols, regular hand washing and remain vigil of their health and the current situation.
If you have any questions regarding the hotel, marina or restaurant or to place a take-out order, please call us at 205-489-2462. Please make payment at that time, if at all possible, when placing your order by debit or credit card. This will limit contact for our employees and customers.
When picking up your food order, please pull up to the front entrance, and a Lakeshore employee will bring your order to your vehicle. If at all possible, please call your order in ahead of time to speed up the process and reduce customer wait times and remain in your vehicle.
As always, we appreciate your patience and assistance in limiting face-to-face contact to prevent the spread of the virus and to protect our community during this rough time.
