DOUBLE SPRINGS - For the citizens of Double Springs, the wind down of summer does not end with Labor Day but with City Fest. With the COVID-19 pandemic throwing havoc in lives, City Fest will continue on in its fourth year. This year, it will take place Saturday, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the downtown area
Vendors will set up from the courthouse on Highway 195 to R.J.’s Automotive near Southern Furniture on both sides of the street. Vendors of all types are expected. A food truck will also be on site.
Community Unity, the organizer of City Fest, mentions the event will be a perfect opportunity for shoppers to visit local businesses and buy locally.
Community Unity welcomes everyone to the event. However, due to Alabama still being under the mask mandate set by Governor Kay Ivey, masks and social distancing practices are urged.
“We’d like to thank Mayor Elmo Robinson and the city council for their continued support,” Crystal Till of Community Unity said.
