Wanda Gail Millwood, 71, of Double Springs, entered into rest on Friday, October 23, 2020 in Florence.
Gail was born on June 28, 1949 in Moulton. She worked for the U.S. Forest Service at Corinth, helping get the campground prepped and opened, and also worked for many years with her husband, Curtis, on his masonry projects. She spent over 10 years as a greeter at WalMart, first in Fulton, Mississippi and then in Moulton. Gail was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had a lifelong interest in gardening. She was lovingly known by her grandchildren as “Gertie”.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 1-2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Mountain Springs Cemetery in the Bankhead National Forest. Brother Bobby Smith will officiate.
Gail is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Millwood Tucker and her husband, Ashley; son, Allen Millwood and his wife Katie; mother, Annie Jewel Daniel and grandchildren, AshLynn “Bootsie” O’Bealie Tucker, Lukas Timothy Tucker, Gracie Parker and Samantha Millwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis A. Millwood; father, Hillard “Pee Wee” Daniel and brother, Hank Daniel.
