Reogas retiring as Haleyville's police chief

HALEYVILLE - Kyle Reogas is retiring as the Haleyville police chief, effective Feb. 26, 2021.  Reogas submitted a letter to Mayor Ken Sunseri, who gave it to City Attorney Jeff Mobley to read during the council's Nov. 16, meeting.  In the letter, Reogas - who has been with the Haleyville Police Department 34 years, 29 of those as chief of police - expressed his love and gratitude to everyone he has worked with through they years, including five different mayors, numerous council members, dozens of city workers and fellow officers.
