Aderholt continues to test negative for COVID

U.S. Representative Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville)

HALEYVILLE - In an update provided by his office Nov. 19, it was announced that U.S. Representative Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) has received another COVID-19 test, his third after going into quarantine a week ago.  He received a PCR test, also known as a nasal swab rather than the rapid test, which came back negative.

Aderholt announced Sunday night that he was in quarantine after having close contact for several hours with someone who had since tested positive for COVID-19.  He took a rapid test for the virus at that time, which came back negative.  However, after discussing his situation with the physician for the U.S. House of Representatives, he was advised to remain in quarantine, which he has done.

Aderholt's office stated that he is symptom-free, but he will continue to quarantine until early next week.
