Free digital marketing class Jan. 14 to help COVID-19 affected businesses

HAMILTON    - A partnership between the Northwest Alabama Council of Local Governments, the University of North Alabama, the Haleyville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Industrial Development Authority of Winston County has created a free digital marketing class focusing on business affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The free class has been set for Thursday, Jan. 14, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Tombigbee Electric Coop, located at 3196 County Road 55  in Hamilton, where a professor from the UNA School of Business will lead an informal workshop which will cover a variety of topics, according to NACOLG officials.
Topics to be discussed include reaching new customers using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter; creating a website and email for affected businesses; understanding how customer management systems are valuable in communicating with customers and setting up an eCommerce platform through Amazon, Etsy, Shopify or Ali-Express, for a specific type of business.
The Northwest Alabama Economic Development Authority is also a partner regarding this workshop.
