HAMILTON — A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:04 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, has claimed the life of a Jasper man. William Tidwell Sr., 76, was killed when the 2019 Dodge Challenger he was driving left the roadway at a high rate of speed, struck a utility pole and two trees. Tidwell sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital. Earlier today, Feb. 11, he succumbed to those injuries and was pronounced deceased by the hospital staff. The crash occurred one mile south of Arley on Winston County 41. Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
