DOUBLE SPRINGS - New changes are being implemented this year with the delinquent tax sale, which will be held in the courtroom of the Winston County Courthouse on Thursday, May 6.
If you plan to attend the sale, you must pre-register before April 30, 2021. The revenue commissioner’s office must know who is attending. There will be paperwork needing to be completed and returned to register
The revenue commissioner’s office is doing this in response to the ongoing concerns for COVID-19. All paperwork will be ready the day of the sale. Upon arrival, call the office, and someone will meet you with your packet containing the information you will need. After the sale, return to your car and call the office. Someone will meet you, take your purchase information and funds and process and return it to you.
If you have not registered, you will not be able to bid. No registrations will be taken the day of the sale.
Call the revenue commissioner’s office at (205) 489-5166 with any questions.
