Double Springs Fire Department

DOUBLE SPRINGS - A disaster can be classified in many ways, from tornado damage to floods to house fires. The Town of Double Springs, through a joint partnership with the American Red Cross, has supplies ready to help people suffering from such disasters.

WINSTON COUNTY - Rural fire departments are telling their stories from within, describing outdated equipment, conservation of fuel and other concerns due to a lack of funding.

DOUBLE SPRINGS - The new life saving machine called Lund University Cardiopulmonary Assist System, LUCAS for short, was purchased by the Double Springs Fire Department recently and has already been used on a patient.

WINSTON COUNTY - The recent uptick in COVID-19 cases not only in Winston County, but the entire area has created an impact on first responders through either positive cases of the virus among their ranks or having to go into quarantine due to exposure, affecting the very ones people depend on in emergency situations.

WINSTON COUNTY   -  A house fire on Bull Branch Road at Smith Lake had possibly been burning for several hours before being noticed by a neighbor.
