HALEYVILLE - The Haleyville Lions defeated Danville Tuesday, Feb. 11, 52-37 to advance to regional competition.
Clay Blanton was the leading scorer for HHS with 19 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
Grayson Long had 14 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assist;
Gavin West, 6 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists;
Jon Tyler Gilbert, 5 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block;
Rome Yarbrough, 5 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist;
Grant Dye, 3 points, 4 rebounds.
Haleyville played West Limestone Monday, Feb. 17, at Wallace State in Hanceville in regional play.

The Haleyville Lions  (14-17) defeated Danville (17-10) Tuesday, Feb. 11, by a score of 52-37, to advance to regional competition at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville. The Lions will face West Limestone (14-12) at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17.

The Meek Tigers were eliminated in subregion play Tuesday, Feb. 11, by Pickens County by a score of 103-47.

HALEYVILLE - It went down to the wire, but the Haleyville Lions fell short 53-51 Tuesday, Feb. 12, against the St. John Paul II Catholic Falcons, of Huntsville, in northwest subregion action.
As 4A Area 11 champs, Haleyville hosted the game that proved to be  hard fought and tight throughout. A last second three-point shot by Haleyville hit the rim, but did not fall through to give the Falcons the victory.
