Bowling captures state pole vault championship
Jaycey Bowling captured the 1A state pole vault title at the recent 1A-3A state track meet held in Cullman. She is pictured making a vault during the competition.
CULLMAN - Jaycey Bowling, of Meek High School, is the new 1A state pole vault champion. She also shares her school record at 10 feet. After winning the state championship at 9 feet, she went for a new school record at 10.1 feet, but failed by the slightest of margins.
She was state runner up last year behind Addison’s Emme Baldwin’s 10.8 winning height.
