Miller inducted into honor society

ADDISON - Loryn Miller, a native of Addison, was recently initiated into the University of Alabama at Birmingham Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society.
Students initiated into the society must be sophomores, juniors, seniors or graduate/professional students in the top 35 percent of their class, demonstrate leadership experience in at least one of the five pillars and embrace the ODK ideals. Fewer than five percent of students on a campus are invited to join.

Local students graduate from University of Alabama

TUSCALOOSA - The following local residents graduated from the University of Alabama during commencement ceremonies Dec. 10-11:

Joseph Daniel, of Nauvoo, Master of Arts;
Katie Holcomb, of Double Springs, Bachelor of Science in education;
Samantha Legg, of Nauvoo, Bachelor of Science in nursing;
Kylie Lovett, of Haleyville, Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering;
Isaac Posey, of Haleyville, Bachelor of Arts.

Monastero inducted into Kappa Delta Pi

TUSCALOOSA - Teresa Monastero, the wife of Domenico Monastero, was inducted into the Xi chapter of Kappa Delta Pi at the University of Alabama on Dec. 2.  Individuals are invited to membership in this largest of education honor societies on the basis of high academic achievement, worthy ideals and evidence of leadership attributes.
