CHEROKEE - A hot start from the Phillips Bears propelled them to their second win of the season as they routed the Indians of Cherokee High School 61-22 on Thursday, Oct. 24.
Hunter Lanford was the leader for the Bears in the win. The senior running back rushed for four touchdowns and also reeled in a pass for a score in the win.
"I am really proud of the way our team executed," first-year Bear head coach Adam Lawler said following the game. "We came out and were able to dominate in the run game. I think our offensive and defensive linemen played really well," he added.
