Cash prizes to be awarded in Mask Up Alabama video contest

WINSTON COUNTY - With face masks proving to be one of the most effective methods of preventing COVID-19 transmission, the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH), the Alabama Hospital Association (ALAHA) and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama are sponsoring the Mask Up Alabama Video Contest for Alabamians to share why they feel it is important to wear a mask.

Ivey announces plans to begin looking at reopening the economy

MONTGOMERY - Without giving any specifics, Governor Kay Ivey announced during a press conference Tuesday, April 14, that plans are being worked upon to begin the process of reopening Alabama's economy, as it appears that the stay-at-home order put in place April 3, is beginning to help "flatten the curve" of COVID-19 cases.

WINSTON COUNTY - Firefighters across Winston County, who put their lives on the line daily to help others, are speaking out, stating they have none of the supplies required by the Alabama Department of Public Health, to protect themselves from COVID-19.
