Haleyville to receive $800,000 grant for airport improvements

HALEYVILLE - Renovation work at the pilot’s lounge area at the Haleyville Municipal Airport is currently being done as just the first step ahead of a major overhaul project coming later, thanks to the approval of an $800,000 grant through the Airport Terminal Program, a branch of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program.

Haleyville Airport to house equipment, host employees, for federal project

HALEYVILLE - The agreement reached between the City of Haleyville and Arctic Shark-- which will soon conduct a drone data collection program through the U.S. Department of Energy--for the use of the Posey Field airport, will hopefully draw some much-needed publicity to the airport, officials said.
