LAWRENCE COUNTY/WINSTON COUNTY LINE - Officers are on scene of an accident where a tractor-trailer has overturned on Highway 33, just north of Double Springs over the county line into Lawrence County. Please use caution driving through this area over the next couple of hours, as officers work to get a wrecker on scene capable of getting the truck upright, as well as picking up a steel coil which has fallen from the vehicle.
WINSTON COUNTY - Winston County appears to have dodged a bullet Monday, March 12, as possible tornadoes passed by to the north and east of the county. There are reports of storm damage in Russellville in Franklin County, as well as damage in Lawrence County.
The primary damage reports seem to be from hail, however, especially in Cullman County, where hail as large as baseballs was reported. There were hail reports in Winston County of approximately penny size, according to the Winston County EMA.
