DOUBLE SPRINGS - As the horn sounded to end the 2019 Winston County Christmas Tournament Saturday, Dec. 28, in Double Springs, the Curry Lady Jackets strung the basket to break the 50-50 tie with the Haleyville Lady Lions in the championship game.
The three-day tourney saw the Lady Lions going into the championship tournament undefeated.
They had beat Belgreen in the first round and Clements in the second to play Curry, who also came into the game not beaten in the tournament.

BELGREEN - Leads exchanged several times during the baseball game between the Meek Tigers and the Belgreen Bulldogs Monday, April 2. It was a contest that wasn’t decided until the eighth inning.
