Phillips girls are 1A Area 12 champions


The Phillips High School She Bears defeated Belgreen Friday, Feb. 8, at PHS in Bears Creek, by a score of 83-38 to win the 1A Area 12 championship. Haleyville varsity girls are 4A Area 11 champions


The Haleyville High School Lady Lions defeated Curry Thursday, Feb. 7, to win the 4A Area 11 championship at Curry High School. The Haleyville High School Lions defeated Curry Thursday, Feb. 7, to win the 4A Area 11 championship at Curry High School. HHS wins Area 11 softball title


The Haleyville Lady Lions are the 4A Area 11 softball champions. Pictured are the team and coaches following a long day of softball May 1, at HHS. The Lady Lions have an 18-13 overall record.

HALEYVILLE - The Haleyville Lady Lions captured the 4A Area 11 championship on Tuesday, May 1.
Haleyville Lady Lions  weathered a scare by Fayette County in the 9 a.m. game,  in the third inning where Haley-ville coughed up three runs, but Haleyville still won 7-4 on Tuesday. Fayette County's big inning was driven by a single by Brandy Johnson and a fielder's choice by Harley Johnson.
