ARLEY - The Town of Arley is taking a community-wide stance against litter, not only by cleaning the town up, but by organizing a prevention program for Saturday, April 23.

ARLEY - The Arley Women's Club recently received a $2,500 grant from Cullman Electric Cooperate and Co-Bank.

Empty Bowls moved to February

DOUBLE SPRINGS - Organizers of the annual Empty Bowls dinner benefitting both the Winston County Arts Council and Main Street Ministries have waited nearly two years for the event to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Orders being taken for smoked hams for Easter

Orders being taken for hams for Easter

ARLEY - Just in time for Easter, smoked ham orders are currently being taken, with all proceeds to benefit the Arley Women's Club.

The hams must be pre-ordered by Friday, March 26, and will be available for pickup on Friday, April 2, from 3-5 p.m. at the Arley Community Center.  To place an order, call (205) 387-2612 and leave a message or send a text to (205) 489-9405.

WINSTON COUNTY - For the greater good is the mission for many non-profit agencies, and local ones are benefiting from the generosity of a Walker County organization, which are in turn helping the public.

ARLEY - Are you ready for summer? Members of the Arley Women’s Club sure are and have been working toward Arley’s gateway to summer: the annual Arley Day Festival. Organized and presented by the AWC, Arley Day is in its 47th year. Plans have already begun, and the event looks to be the best yet. Save the date: Saturday, May 16, and get ready to begin the summer off right.
