LYNN - At least four suspicious fires in the areas of county roads 29 to 339 have occurred in the past six weeks, including the most recent fire of two unoccupied dwellings that spread into a woods fire, sparking an ongoing investigation.

DOUBLE SPRINGS - Emergency first responders found themselves on an emotional call Mother’s Day, May 10, when an 8-month-old boy found on the floor gasping for air later died.

BEAR CREEK - Allegations of misspending of funds in the Town of Bear Creek has been raised to a new level, with an active investigation now underway by the State Bureau of Investigation. The SBI has been making visits to the Bear Creek Town Hall/Water Works building, seen in photo, as part of their investigation.
