Firefighters battle a blaze on 15th Avenue in Haleyville Wednesday morning.
HALEYVILLE - First responders had to rescue a couple from their home as it became engulfed in flames late Wednesday morning, November 16.
Chris and Lori Kelly were rescued by Haleyville and Pebble firefighters as they arrived on the scene of the fire at 2607 15th Avenue in Haleyville. A Pebble firefighter located the couple near the front door of their burning home and worked with a Haleyville firefighter to get the couple into the yard away from the flames. Regional Paramedical Service Ambulance sent two units to the scene, which transferred the couple to Lakeland Community Hospital in Haleyville.
The home was heavily damaged in the fire.
