Robert "Bob" Charles Walker, 79, of Haleyville, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
A private service was held. Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
Bob was born in Banner, Arkansas on December 5, 1945. He married the love of his life, Flossie, on February 6, 1964. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1963 - 1967. Once returning home to the USA, he and Flossie raised three sons, Robert Levi, Billy Minor and Mickel Glen. In 1977, the family relocated to Alabama, where Bob worked for over 40 years in construction, building a reputation for hard work and dedication in the Haleyville community.
Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was blessed with two grandchildren, Billy Walker and Ashley Hill and five great-grandchildren, Wyatt Walker, Grayson, Adalynn, Hudson and Drayden Hill.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Flossie; his three sons, Robert (Jodi), Billy (Susan) and Mickel (Emily); his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one living sister, Birdy. Bob's family was his greatest joy, and he leaves behind countless cherished memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Minor Walker and Blanch Ann Lovejoy Walker and brothers and sisters, Dorellen, Winnie, Billy, Ray and Margie.
A kind and caring man, Bob will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His legacy of love, strength and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
