Angela Jones

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Angela Darlene Jones, who went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 4, 2025 at the age of 61. A woman of deep faith, love and strength, Angie touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving the indelible mark on her family, friends and community.

As a devoted mother and cherished grandmother, Angie found joy in the love of her children and grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit, boundless love and unwavering faith provided a foundation for her family that will never be forgotten. She was a constant source of support, a guiding light in times of need and a gentle presence that will be dearly missed.

Before Angie decided to fully dedicate herself to her family, she shared her compassion with the elderly in Double Springs while working at the Double Springs Nursing Home. There, she was able to touch the lives of many residents and families by providing comfort and care to everyone she encountered. She was a true servant of the community.

A strong believer in Christ, Angie was an active member of Pinetucky Baptist Church, where she found fellowship and strength. She lived her life with grace, compassion and a deep sense of purpose, sharing her love for God with everyone she encountered. Her life was a testament to the strength of her belief and she now rests in His eternal embrace.
Though Angie fought a long and difficult battle, her spirit remained unbroken. She is now free from pain, surrounded by the peace and love she so freely gave throughout her life. While we will miss her dearly, we take comfort in knowing that she is in the arms of the Lord, rejoicing in eternal peace.

She was preceded in death by her parents, EJ and Shirley Ayers and Ollie and Elizabeth Tidwell and brothers, Bobby Tidwell and Tony Ayers. Angie was also preceded in death by mother-in-law, Audrey Jones, known to many as Granny.

Angie is survived by her husband, Randy; son, Justin (Kayla) Jones; daughters, Justine (Sam) Bridgmon and Carol (Steve) Weiler; her grandchildren, Bradley, Brittany, James, Payton, Carly and Addy; three sisters, Joyce (John) Hodge, Mary Evans and Janie (Carl) Curtis, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Pinetucky Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Moreland Cemetery.  Hamilton Funeral Home will direct.

Though her physical presence will be missed, her love, faith and kindness will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. We take solace in knowing that she is now at peace with her Savior, and her legacy of love will live on in our hearts forever.
