HALEYVILLE - State Representative Mike Millican received a special honor from the Alabama Education Association, for his leadership toward issues involving education during his past 28 years in office. The honor was presented Monday night, Feb. 19, during a Legislative Meet and Greet event at Haleyville Middle School, by Donna Jones, member of the Haleyville Board of Education, also past president of the Haleyville Education Association. Millican responded that he has enjoyed the service he has provided at the state level the past 28 years, as he is looking toward retirement, not seeking reelection in the upcoming June primary election.
