Three-point shoot to benefit leukemia patient
HALEYVILLE - Bryant Newell, a former Haleyville resident, is conducting a three-point shoot at the Neighborhood Facilities Building in Haleyville on Saturday, Oct. 20, to benefit a local leukemia patient.
Bryant Lay, 8, of Haleyville, has been diagnosed with the disease and Newell will conduct the shoot for 12 hours to raise money for Lay and his family.
Newell is asking everyone to donate one penny per shot or a one time donation.
