absentee ballots

Absentee ballot applications must be turned in by tomorrow, June 16, in person

WINSTON COUNTY - For those who need to vote absentee in the Tuesday, June 21, runoff election, there are some key deadlines this week. Thursday, June 16, is the last day absentee ballot applications can be returned in person. The deadline to receive absentee ballot applications by mail has already passed.

Friday, June 17, is the last day to return absentee ballots by hand to the absentee election manager. Absentee ballots returned by mail must be received by the absentee election manager no later than noon on Tuesday, June 21.

Absentee ballot applications available starting March 30

Winston County Probate Judge Sheila Moore, who will also be serving as absentee election manager in the primary election, shows the application that must be submitted along with a valid photo ID.
WINSTON COUNTY - The reason the primary election was moved to Tuesday, May 24, from its original June time slot, was so that the runoff election would not fall during the Independence Day holiday.

Absentee ballots will be mailed out for run-off election

WINSTON COUNTY - After earlier reporting from the Alabama Secretary of State  that no absentee ballots would  be mailed out due to the Coronavirus scare, also known as COVID-19, that news changed with business  as usual, meaning absentee ballot applications are being accepted and ballots are being mailed out in preparation for the March 31 run-off election.

Also, the run-off election is still scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, reported Winston County Absentee Elections Manager J.D. Snoddy.
