HALEYVILLE - The Haleyville Lions won the Class 4A, Area 12 championship Wednesday, Oct. 13, defeating Fayette County 3-0. With the win, the Lions have punched their ticket to Regionals, which begin next week in Huntsville at the Von Braun Center South Hall.
Addison wins Area Tournament
ADDISON - The Addison Lady Bulldogs defeated Hatton 3-1 Wednesday night, October 13, to win the Class 2A, Area 13 volleyball tournament. With the win, the Lady Dawgs have punched their ticket to Regionals, which begin Wednesday, October 20, in Huntsville at the Von Braun Center South Hall.

HMS volleyball team goes undefeated in Russellville tourney
RUSSELLVILLE - The Haleyville Middle School volleyball team had a successful season.
Coached by Jayme Hall and assistant Brandy Hulsey, the ladies participated in the recent Russellville Invitational Volleyball Tournament. The seventh grade defeated Wilson and Deshler in two straight sets each to come out first place in pool play.
HMS faced Florence in the semi-finals and beat them in two straight to advance to the championship match.
