Margie Ann Pigg, 77, of Vinemont, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
She was born January 10, 1946 to Maggie Mae Johnson and Richard McBrayer. Margie was a lifelong homemaker. As she would sit on her front porch enjoying nature, she could often be heard singing, “I can almost see the lights of home.” Margie will be remembered for her love and devotion to her husband, “Rock,” and her family.
Visitation will be Monday, December 4, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where her funeral will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Sardis Baptist Cemetery in the Sardis community. Brother Rodney Ridgeway will officiate.
Margie is survived by her husband of over 62 years, Olen Roscoe “Rock” Pigg; daughters, Marsha Darlene Alvis, Melissa Ann Downs and her husband Mark and Shana New; sons, Rockie Dewayne Pigg and his wife Stephanie and David Lamar Pigg; sisters, Hazel Sanford and her husband Ray and Dorothy Johnson and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Maggie Mae McBrayer; six brothers; three sisters and grandchildren, “Little” David Pigg and Ashley Tyson.
