Kenneth Leroy Day, Sr, 66, of Lynn, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 26, 1958 to Oliver and Louise Day. Kenneth was an avid fisherman. He liked to cook and eat seafood, especially the fish he caught. Kenneth loved his church family and adored his grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 12-2 p.m. at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Double Springs, where his funeral will follow at 2 p.m., with Brother Ronnie Melvin officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Nichols Funeral Home will direct.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 40 years, Wendy Day; son, Kenneth Day, Jr (fianceé Linda Clouse); daughter, Misty Cagle (Jamie); grandchildren, Brycen Day, Rebekah Day, Amberly Day, Ember Cagle, Ensley Cagle and Ellie Cagle; brothers, Larry Day and Timmy Day; sisters, Dorothy Lonaker and Marlene Wells and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Louise Day and brother, Danny Day.
