Fresh from the scene of a fire with Arley Fire Department, George Gibson was sworn in as Arley's newest town council member by Town Clerk Tammi Farley.
ARLEY - Last night, Tuesday, March 4, 2025, the Arley Town Council voted unanimously to appoint George Gibson to fill the seat left vacant by the departure of Robert Williams.
Former longtime Arley Fire Chief, George Gibson still volunteers with the Arley Fire Department and was working a utility pole fire in the rain with AFD at the time of the vote.
He arrived at the meeting fresh from the scene of the fire and was sworn in by Town Clerk Tammi Farley, just in time for his first vote as a council member--to adjourn the meeting.
