Carol Annette Thompson, 64, of Double Springs, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Cullman Regional Hospital.
She was born August 17, 1960, in West Hollywood, Florida to Noble and Martha Twilley. Carol loved NASCAR racing, Auburn football and going bowling. She also enjoyed taking trips to the mountains. More than anything, however, Carol loved spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies.
Carol's family will be having a gathering of friends on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 12-2 p.m. at Friendship Independent Church, 1000 Blackwell Dairy Road, Jasper, Ala. 35504, where her service will begin at 2 p.m. Nichols Funeral Home is assisting the family.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Steve Thompson; children, J.R. Thompson, Crystal (Michael) Bonner and Carmella (Malachi) Gunter; grandchildren, Anastasia, Cassidy, Lily, Matthew, J. J. and Levi; mother, Martha Twilley; one brother and a host of nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Noble Grant Twilley; granddaughters, Rebecca and Melody and mawmaw, Shirley Grace.
