Betty Joyce Morgan, 71, of Hamilton, formerly of Haleyville, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Betty was born on May 18, 1947, in Jasper. She was a member of Needmore Church of Christ and later attended Hope Alive Worship Center. Betty worked at Haleyville Drapery for 30-plus years.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where her funeral will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 2 p.m. Brother Chris Godfree and Brother John Holiday will officiate. Burial will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Betty is survived by her sons, Bryan (Kim) Morgan and Ryan (Amy) Morgan; daughters, ReNae Morgan, Meletta (Andy) Ellis and Theresa (Terry) Allison; brother, Dude Pearl; sisters, Sylvia Hill, andMary Ann McCarty; nephew, Russell (Kathy) Hill and a host of other nieces and nephews. She was "MawMaw" to 10 grandchildren, Wyatt Hutcheson, Jared Hutcheson, Dakota Lolley, Ethan Lolley, Lexus (Jesse) Overton, Layken Morgan, Landis Morgan, London Morgan, Keylan Morgan and Kayla Morgan and five great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Hutcheson, Kyle Perez, Morgan Hutcheson, Brody Hutcheson, Blaine Lewis and Jaxon Lolley.
She was preceded in death by her husband J.D. Morgan; father, Harry Dolphus Pearl; mother, Lessie Jewel Pearl; sister, Mae Bell Horner and brother, Howard "Bunk" Pearl.
The family would like to thank all of Kindred Hospice and the Burrell family for all the care and support that was given while taking care of their mother.
