Smith leaving Phillips High

 BEAR CREEK - Keith Smith, principal at Phillips High School, is heading back home, leaving a vacancy at Phillips. His last day is today, Dec. 19.
Smith is voluntary transferring to principal at Marion County High School in Guin, the town he lives in, effective Thursday, Jan. 3.
“This is my fifth year (at Phillips),” Smith said. Before, he was assistant principal at Lamar County High School. He has spent the past 21 years in education.
