Jeffery "Jeff" Wade Thornton, 56, of Logan, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at home.
Jeff was born on May 4, 1962 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Jeff drove an 18-wheeler for most of his life, both locally and on the road. He enjoyed working on his pond at home. Jeff was a loving and caring husband, son and brother and was known as Paw-Paw to his 2 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, in Logan from 12-2 p.m. with his funeral at 2 p.m. Brother Macky Watts will officiate. Burial will be in New Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 7 years, Donna Crane; sons, Weston Thornton and Brad Thornton and his wife Breanna; daughter, Marissa K. Hillburn and her husband Manly; mother, Fay Thornton; brother, Douglas Thornton; sister, Vicki Allcorn and her husband Dean; grandchildren, Connor Thornton and Orson Hillburn; good friend and employer, Tony Baker and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, R.D. Thornton and grandson, Easton Hillburn.
