LYNN - Chance Majors came the ballpark and meant business on Monday, March 18, driving in four RBIs on two hits to lead Lynn Lynn High School baseball past Brilliant 13-3. Majors drove in runs on a double in the second and a double in the fifth.
Lynn secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the second inning. Lynn’s big bats in the inning were led by singles by Braden Cagle, Riley Humphres, and Reid Cornelius, a walk by Cagle, an error on a ball put in play by Lance Harris, and a double by Majors.
LHS scored seven runs in the second inning. Cagle, Harris, Majors, Humphres, Cagle, and Cornelius all drove in runs in the frame.
Logan Kelly was the winning pitcher for Lynn. He lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and one run while striking out four. Cagle threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Lynn scattered 12 hits in the game. Brandon Hill, Humphres, and Majors all managed multiple hits for the Bears. Hill led Lynn with three hits in four at bats. Kade Bryant went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Brilliant in hits. Brilliant tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Preston C led the way with four.
