Bear Creek Mayor Tammie Batchelor and Park and Rec/Street Department Supervisor Andrew Welborn emphasize that the Twin Forks campsite area is strictly closed to the public while major renovations and improvements are underway.
BEAR CREEK - “Violators Will Be Prosecuted”, reads a sign that is posted on a new gate at the entrance to the Twin Forks campsites, after the town has faced issues of campers gaining access to the site while workers have been busy replacing electrical wiring--a situation causing a major hazard to the public.
Bear Creek Mayor Tammie Batchelor informed the town council and the public at the council’s regular meeting Monday, March 18, that a new gate has been placed at the entrance.
That gate is to be kept locked, as workers are busy doing much needed renovations while the park is closed, so it can be ready to open by at least mid April.
