Meek splits with Lynn in basketball action

ARLEY - The Meek girls and Lynn boys basketball teams were victors in action Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Meek High School.
MHS girls won by a score of 45-21, with the LHS boys winning, 52-36.
Stats reported for the Lynn girls were:
Ashley Aldridge, 8 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal;
Ella Brown, 5 points, 3 rebounds;
Jerica Anderson, 4 points, 1 rebound and 1 steal;
Cassidy Dodd, 3 points, 2 assists;
Phebe Burkett, 1 point, 1 assist, 3 steals;
Breanna Barton, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal;
Briana Benson, 4 rebounds, 1 steal;
Laney Uptain, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal;
Emily Batchelor, 2 rebounds and 1 assist.
Brandon Hill led the scoring for the LHS boys, with 14 points. Griffin Lynn, had 12, with Micah Cagle, 9; Dalton Gilbert, 8; Lance Harris, 4; Joe Aldridge, 3 and Evan Lamb, 2.
Leading the scoring for the Lady Tigers was Abby Phillips with 18 points; Savannah Smith, 8; Madison Smith, Jessie Woodard and Reagan Aaron, 6 points each; Dani Cotton, 1.
Jarrett Benson put in 16 points for the Tigers, followed by Stuart Waldrep with 8; Jagger Benson, 5; David Tidwell, 4; Kaleb Cherry, 2 and Angel Chino, 1.
