HALEYVILLE - The Haleyville Board of Education, during an early morning meeting Monday, Aug. 3, approved several personnel items as the Aug. 20 start of school moves closer and inservice for personnel began that day.
Personnel items, approved by the board in a meeting held in the elementary library included a leave of absence for elementary teacher Emily Kennedy effective Aug. 3-Oct. 25; resignation of elementary para-professional Linda Thomas effective July 31.
The following personnel were hired: Amanda Moore as elementary health paraprofessional ; Brandy Hulsey as middle school health paraprofessional and Celia Minor as high school health paraprofessional, each effective Aug. 3;
Brandy Manasco as elementary special education teacher; Jenny Hollimon from part-time to full-time nurse ; Cyranda (Cindy) Adamson as aide for the Child Nutrition Program at the elementary school and Tony Ledwell, as elementary paraprofessional, each effective Aug. 3.
Personnel approved by the BOE during their regular July meeting, included resignation of Lauren Hall as elementary teacher effective July 31; catastrophic leave for middle school teacher Allison Sigler effective Aug. 3 for the 2020-21 school year;
Transfer of middle school teacher Jessica Spain from computer/business technology to 7th grade history teacher effective Aug. 3; Transfer of Cecil Reynolds from middle school paraprofessional to high school paraprofessional effective Aug. 6.
The following breakfast workers were approved for the new school year effective Aug. 6: Elementary: one hour per school day, Christy McCombs, HES manager, and Pam Wilson; Middle School: half hour per school day, Patricia Godsey, manager, Tina Batchelor; High School: 3/4 hour per school day, Linda Mize, manager and Myra Steele.
The following personnel were hired: Molly Ingram as elementary pre-school auxiliary teacher; Amber Nichols as elementary school teacher and Emily Head as middle school 8th grade computer/business teacher, each effective Aug. 3.
