Haleyville garbage pickup schedule changed due to winter weather

HALEYVILLE - Due to winter weather this week, the garbage pickup schedule for the city of Haleyville has been changed, noted Barry Farris, supervisor of the Haleyville Street Department.

Crews have been so busy sanding roads and removing downed trees due to snow and ice this week, the garbage collection scheduled was altered, with Monday and Tuesday's routes picked up on Wednesday, along with Wednesday's routes. Thursday and Friday routes will both be picked up on Friday, as of press time, pending any future winter weather conditions.
