CARBON HILL - The Haleyville Lady Lions were hot at the plate, blowing out Carbon Hill 15-2 Tuesday, March 30 in Bulldog territory.
The Lady Lions got things started in the first inning on Kaylee Riddle's sac fly, scoring one run. Karley Dozier put one out in the first inning.
Haleyville tallied six runs in the seventh inning. Their offense in the inning came from singles by Reagan Phillips and Lilly Rae Rushing, a fielder's choice by Lily Tinch and a double by Riddle.
The ladies racked up 13 hits in the game. Dozier, Rushing, and Riddle all managed multiple hits for Haleyville. Dozier went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Haleyville in hits.
Reagan Swims earned the victory on the rubber for HHS. The lefthander went seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out five and walking zero.
Santana Clark started the game for Carbon Hill. Clark surrendered seven runs on five hits over four innings, striking out three. Haleigh Lamon threw three innings in relief. Clark led Carbon Hill with two hits in three at bats.
