Lady Jackets top Addison 4-2

ADDISON - The Winston County Lady Yellow Jackets traveled to Addison to take on their arch rival Thursday, March 11. The Lady Dawgs got one more hit than the Lady Jackets, but that didn’t translate into enough runs, and Winston County came out the 4-2 winner.

LYNN - Thirteen teams participated in the Lynn High School Invitational Softball Tournament Friday, Feb. 28, and Saturday, Feb. 29. Teams participating included Tharptown, Addison, Dora and Oakman in Pool A; Meek, Vina, Sulligent JV and Winston County, Pool B; Lynn, Hackleburg, Fayette, Sulligent and Fultondale in Pool C.

Sartin signs with Bevill State to play softball

HALEYVILLE - Anna Lacy Sartin will be joining the Bevill State Community College’s softball team next fall.
The Haleyville High School senior will be on the pitching staff at the Sumiton campus.

Lynn - Ashley Aldridge, Hannah Alsup, Breanna Barton and Sadie Tittle

Meek - Bailee Fincher, Emma Fincher and Autumn Peek

Phillips - Lexie Dishner and Amber Markham

Winston County - Katelyn Bullock, Elle Donaldson, Jassmine Ergle and Makayla Lindsey.

Haleyville softball wins games


The Haleyville Lady Lions hosted a round robin softball tournament with Danville, Hatton and Muscle Shoals on Wednesday, June 19. The Lady Lions won games against Hatton and Muscle Shoals.
