Lady Lions defeat Hamilton 6-3

HAMILTON - The Lady Lions were no April Fool’s Day joke for the Hamilton Aggies Thursday, April 1, defeating their rival 6-3.
Hailie Moody and Kaylee Riddle got the scoring started in the top of the first for the Lady Lions, with Hamilton scoring in the bottom of the inning, with Ansley Kerr doing the honors.
Evelyn Kate Carroll hit a home run in the top of the third, bringing Reagan Philips in with her.  Lilly Rae Rushing scored later in the frame to make it 5-1.  Maddie Wilson got the last run for the Lady Lions in the top of the sixth, and Meghan Jones and Hannah Hogue completed the scoring for Hamilton to make the final 6-3.
Karley Dozier got the win for the Lady Lions, with four strikeouts and allowing three runs over six hits.
Ella Kelley was the pitcher for the Lady Aggies. She struck out 1 and allowed 5 runs over 9 hits.
