ASHRIDGE - Phillip Craig Miles, 38 years old, was found deceased in his home on County Road 55 near the Ashridge community between 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday March 31, 2021.
A 911 call by his daughter, who had come by the residence to check on him, alerted authorities to the scene. The Winston County Sheriff’s Office responded and secured the scene until the 25th District Attorney’s Criminal Investigation Division arrived.
District Attorney Investigators Rusty Hulsey and Andy Jones are leading the investigation, which has been labeled a homicide. Agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency assisted the District Attorney’s Investigators in processing the crime scene and collecting evidence. This matter is currently under active investigation, and no further statements will be made at this time.
